The arid southern desert terrain of New Mexico is the ideal ecosystem for growing and maintaining trophy Pronghorn Antelope bucks. Most of the pronghorn’s ideal habitat is made up of large private ranches where the antelope utilize the man-made water holes or tanks. This outfitter has access to many of the best ranches and the knowledge of the best public areas in New Mexico for trophy bucks. Lodging typically consists of a ranch house or hotel in close proximity to the hunt area. The knowledgeable guides will utilize a vehicle to access all areas of the ranch, use optics to spot and judge trophy bucks, and then assist in stalking into your weapons comfortable range. Expect to look over many different bucks throughout your hunt. Mature trophy bucks will range from 70”-90” depending on ranch and drought conditions.
The antelope tags are allocated by random draw in New Mexico. If you are unsuccessful in drawing the tag, you are able to purchase transferable landowner tags. Both 3 day firearms and 5 day archery hunts offer 100% opportunity rate on 70”+ antelope bucks. Spot and stalk is the preferred method but archers can sit productive waterholes during the heat of the day. Each game management unit has different season dates for your choice of desired weapon.
