Whitetail Deer Iowa
Large crop fields, timbered bedding areas, and lush food plots combined with the famous Iowa genetics and age structure can only mean one thing, BIG MATURE BUCKS!! Located southwest from Des Moines, this father/son operation is committed to putting clients on whitetails worthy of the tag. Lodging in a modern, clean, and smoke free lodge is included in the hunt price. This lodge has 4 bedrooms (2 beds each) with comfy beds and a large great room decorated with plenty of Iowa trophies from the past. There is also a hot tub, available WIFI, and two full bathrooms to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is also an indoor archery range provided to make sure you equipment is sighted in and in hunting condition. The outfitter provides three healthy portioned home-style meals per day which will surely make you worry about fitting into your hunting clothes by the end of the week.
All deer tags are limited draw licenses which O.A.S. can help you plan and obtain. The average buck harvest is 75% annually with an amazing average antler gross score of 160”. To keep the buck age structure where it needs to be for future success, there is a strictly enforced 125” minimum on antler size. To also ensure success for you and future hunters, the outfitter limits the hunting pressure on the 5,000 acres of property by keeping hunter numbers down and not hunting until the rut. The hunts are conducted from treestands, box blinds, and ground blinds throughout the properties that are placed in the optimal location for hunting action.
Archery, shotgun, and late muzzleloader hunts are 5 hunting days 6 nights lodging. Last week of October through all weeks in November can be productive for archery hunters focusing on rutting behavior. The two early December shotgun seasons are a great time to catch big bucks on their feet and be able to extend your range with a firearm. The late December to early January muzzleloader season is an incredible opportunity to hunt big mature bucks hitting food sources during the frigid temps of winter. Shotgun and muzzleloader hunts during the cold weather will take place from wooden carpeted enclosed tower stands with sliding windows and heaters. No matter what season or style of hunting you prefer, successful or not, Iowa will produce the whitetail hunting adventure you have always dreamed of.

Late Season Iowa Success
January 1st, 2014 was the beginning of a new year and also a great day to be in Iowa with a tag in hand. With snow coming down and the temperatures hovering around 0 degrees, the deer were on their feet and piling into the standing soybeans. Read more...
Testimonials
Just got back from a wonderful father/sons hunt in Wyoming. Contacted Chris last year and Outdoor Adventure Specialists was able to suggest an Outfitter that delivered a successful Antelope/Mule Deer hunt. Both Chris and the outfitter were very helpful with planning, suggesting gear and licensing. Already looking forward to our next adventure!!
